The Cumin in central Nottingham is consistently good, as pointed out to us by Nottingham food blogger Alec Frusher. A stylish restaurant set over two floors, it has been serving north Indian food since 2007. There’s also a slight East African influence here because the owners – brothers Shelley and Sunny Anand – used to live in that part of the world.
Alec says: “Why do I so often return? I don’t have to think too hard about the answer to that question: the tandoori mixed grill. You won’t be disappointed. Quite apart from the prodigious size, there’s a pretty good diversity of elements.” Alec is also generally impressed by Cumin’s main courses and mentions the “solid service, with one of the two brother owners ever-present.” You can read his full review here.
Cumin offers free parking at the NCP on 5 St James’s St: if you bring them your parking ticket they will hand you a free exit voucher.
