Just two miles from Oundle is The Kings Arms, a 17th-century thatched public house that has recently been refurbished. Here you’ll always find a warm welcome, good food, beer and wine.
It’s a casual spot for a cosy lunch serving sandwiches on artisan baguettes with salad and fries – vintage red fox and pickle, chicken BLT, tomato, mozzarella, pesto and ham and mustard. Sunday lunch is always a hit and in addition, you can choose from: sirloin steak, frites with peppercorn corn sauce; free-range breast of chicken with tarragon sauce; salmon fillet and more, plus vegan dishes such as jalfrezi and vegetarian dishes including roasted butternut squash, kale, roasted apple, pine nuts, rosemary croutons and feta.
Childrens’ menu and gluten-free options are also available.
