The Monk, Quorn

The Monk is a fantastic bar and restaurant renowned for its excellent food and drink attracting customers from near and far. You’ll find it in the pretty village of Quorn in a thatched 16th century cottage that oozes charm and character.

Simon Grayson, who runs the pub with his wife Carla, is passionate about wine and has run wine courses for both experts and those with a keen interest. He has also compiled wine lists for restaurants run by Marco Pierre White. As you’d expect then, a varied and comprehensive list of handpicked wine awaits you!

You’re welcome to pop in for a drink – there are also premium cocktails, draught beer and ale, spirits and more – but you’ll certainly want to sample the menu. Monkfish and chips, dry-aged fillet of beef, Barnsley lamb chop, beetroot and blue cheese risotto – there really is something to suit everyone. In the kitchen, chefs Tinky and Liam bring skill and creativity to a menu that is ever-evolving.

Be sure to book ahead as The Monk is a popular destination.
