This bustling city centre pub serves up an excellent array of drinks alongside an uncomplicated but seriously tasty food menu. The R&D team are always trying to create an original and exciting offering, so they change the menus regularly.
Their latest range come from their Street Food Collective kitchen crew, and includes a selection of poutines – a dish that originated in Quebec and consists of French fries, cheese curds and gravy. The Rutland & Derby brisket poutine, for example, features crispy skin-on French fries, slow-cooked beef brisket, red Leicester cheese, cabernet & veal gravy, pancetta, parsley, and sweet & sour red onions. The Street Food Collective also cooks up a variety of burgers and wings.
Sister pub to Knight & Garter and The Forge, The Rutland & Derby is a sociable, busy place – superbly run – where the team take genuine pride in their levels of service and professionalism. When the sun shines you can enjoy the beautiful courtyard and roof terrace.
