In the summer of 2008 The Welbeck Bakehouse fired up its ovens for the first time and has not looked back. It is the only bakery in Nottinghamshire and the wider region to use not one but two wood-fired ovens, which enables The Welbeck Bakehouse to produce more than 40 styles of artisan breads and pastries.
This bakery, which is located next door to the School of Artisan Food, prides itself on its dedication to promoting artisan bread-making and the production of high quality produce, using traditional, long fermentation processes and pre-ferments, with no artificial additives or preservatives.
The Welbeck Bakehouse is a wholesale bakery that supplies establishments in Nottinghamshire and neighbouring counties including South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Its products are available to the public in Welbeck Farm Shop, which runs an exclusive offer to Great Food Club members (see below).
