White Horse in Lincoln is one of those relaxed pub restaurants that caters for pretty much everyone! Whether it’s a morning coffee, brunch or lunch, a midweek cocktail, a Saturday evening meal, or a Sunday roast, White Horse does it all.
They describe the menu as “small” but it’s definitely much more than that. It’s simple, it’s clever, seasonal and is all put together in-house by head chef Jack with locally sourced produce.
White Horse was founded in 2023 by Dan Bellamy and Jason Lord-Castle. And after only a year in business it was a Pub of the Year finalist in our Great Food Club awards. It’s no surprise considering menu items such as Korean fried chicken, whipped blue cheese and pear, Tamarind glazed pork belly and crab croquetas.
Before White Horse, Dan and Jason developed their skills at Lincoln burger restaurant Kine. And they’ve brought those burger-flipping skills with them. Each month they introduce a new special burger which is worth the visit alone!
They want the White Horse to be “your new happy place” and it’s easy to see why!
