Farm Shop of the Year: Great Food Club Awards 2020/21

Winner

Tori & Ben’s Farm Shop, Kings Newton, Derbyshire

Finalists

March House Farm Shop, Great Dalby, Leicestershire
Grazers of Ashby Parva, Leicestershire
Northfield Farm, Cold Overton, Rutland

The winner is Tori & Ben’s Farm Shop & Butchery in south Derbyshire. This shop feels special, from the moment you park your car opposite the pretty stone building. Inside you’re immediately wowed by an exceptional meat counter. The beef selection – prepared on-site by head butcher Kate, with some going into dry-ageing cabinets – is spectacular and comes from the farm’s pedigree Longhorns. The lamb is from Tori and Ben’s flocks of pedigree Texel, Jacob & Portland sheep.

It’s impossible not to feel the team’s passion for food and farming when you visit Tori & Ben’s. And when you’ve finished your shopping, you can grab a homemade treacle-cured bacon sandwich and a coffee in the on-site café.

All four Finalists are skilled farmers who produce exceptional meat and have created glorious farm shops. However, it’s Tori & Ben who take the title of Great Food Club Farm Shop of the Year 2020/21.
