Video: Britain’s most local loaf

Published on May 23, 2013

Hambleton Bakery of Rutland is the subject of a fantastic video on what could well be Britain’s most local loaf of bread…

Narrated by Hambleton Bakery founder Tim Hart, the video tells the story of how the idea for their ‘Local Loaf’ was formed and how the bread is made today, using flour milled at Whissendine Windmill and beer barm created by The Grainstore of Oakham.

Both Hambleton Bakery and The Grainstore are part of Great Food Club.
