Don Paddy’s has been a much-loved, family-run bar and kitchen on Uppingham’s Market Place since 2001, fully refurbished in 2024. This European-style brasserie, wine bar and coffee house runs from brunch through to late-night cocktails, with menus driven by creativity and prime local produce.
Brunch plates include avocado smash with poached eggs, ssamjang and chilli, or cinnamon French toast with berry compote and maple drizzle. Later, move on to hearty mains such as pork loin steak with cider and Dijon cream, or prawn and chorizo linguine with chilli, garlic and basil pesto.
An impressive selection of wines by the glass sits alongside classics like Bloody Marys and Mimosas. The revamped upstairs bar and lounge suits cocktails, while Social Sundays in the square bring live music and a relaxed crowd. Weekly Pudding Club and Steak Night add extra reasons to return in this upbeat Uppingham spot.
