Funky Elephant started life in Rickmansworth back in 2015 as a range of sauces and marinades. Fast forward a decade and it’s now an award-winning business with a wide range of products plus a fabulous bricks-and-mortar deli and kitchen in Watford.
The driving force behind Funky Elephant is Ayesha Nurse who is all about bringing the flavours of Barbados to the UK. Bajan cuisine is synonymous with cooking foods slowly and combining spice with sweetness. And we can testify that the flavours you get at Funky Elephant are superb! You’ll see them out and about at events like Reading Festival or the Gunnersbury Park Summer Concerts. And they even do private catering for some very well-known celebs too!
If you’re in the Watford area, pop in and choose from jerk chicken or salmon, island herb chicken, curry goat, crispy cauli or channa. Plus there’s some fantastic sides too such as buttermilk mac & cheese, plantain, homemade slaw or garlicky broccoli.
This is a business on the rise and we’re excited to see their success!
