Jamel’s, Oakham

Jamel’s opened in October 2022 and we’ve received many recommendations for this excellent Lebanese cafe/bistro. It’s an intimate place in the centre of Oakham with only a small kitchen – it’s not fast food but it’s most certainly worth the wait!

While you wait, enjoy the traditional Lebanese music and soak up the atmosphere. One of the most popular dishes is the all-day Lebanese breakfast. The food is authentic and there’s plenty to choose from on the mezze menu. If you fancy heading there in the evenings, why not take your own bottle of wine? There’s just a small corkage to pay so it’s great for those on a budget.

This independent establishment might be new on the scene but it’s quickly becoming one of best spots in the town.
