Le Mistral in Sherwood is a café, bar, bistro and wine shop – sister of Le Mistral in Wirksworth, Derbyshire – offering authentic French charm in the heart of this lively Nottingham suburb. Whether it’s a romantic dinner, a family celebration, a glass of wine and a snack or simply a coffee, the team serves simple, delicious food that’s locally sourced and freshly cooked to order.
The à la carte menu is packed with French classics such as boeuf bourguignon with herb mash, chicken & chorizo provençale, Toulouse sausage cassoulet and the Heliburger – a British beef burger topped with smoked or blue cheese, bacon and Dijon mayo, with £1 from every sale going to East Midlands air ambulance services. Other highlights include moules marinière, ribeye steak, sumac & pistachio lamb rump, and bacon tomahawk with duck egg.
Le Mistral also offers an Express Lunch, Blackboard Specials and a Menu à Prix Fixe (two courses £19.95, Monday to Saturday until 4pm).
