Luna Bakery on Church Gate is the brainchild of entrepreneurial team Chandni and Alana. They have opened up a beautiful relaxed space, on this bustling pedestrianised street in the heart of Loughborough. There’s a couple of chairs outside to enjoy the sun, and a stylish vibe inside with a few small tables and a big counter decked out with all kinds of pastry goodies.
This young team take their business very seriously and everything is baked from scratch on site daily. They aim to pair excellent coffee with wonderful food to create an all-round offering.
Slices of cake, mini pizzas or cheese straws are all there to eat in or take away. But the real specialties include their fresh filled croissants, Danish pastries and their legendary cruffins. They realised that with the leftover dough offcuts they could also create a range of delicious cinnamon morning buns. Those buns sell out fast, so you’ll have to get there early to grab one!
