Perkins is a bar and bistro housed in a beautifully restored railway station, and has luxury accommodation opposite in the form of shepherd’s huts. The bar and bistro has a relaxed “countryside bistro” feel – somewhere you’d be equally happy to pop in for a pint and a snack or enjoy a beautiful lunch or dinner. Think rustic tables alongside bistro seating, brass light fittings and bar seats amid reclaimed textures and materials.
This unique venue, named after the family that owns it, may have been serving top quality food for over 30 years but is bang up to date. Its menus feature local produce, sharer-board starters and ‘bistro bites’ alongside main plates, daily specials and ingredients from Perkins’ own smokehouse.
Next door to Perkins Bar & Bistro is the stunning Carriage Hall, which hosts special events, dinners and weddings.
