Project Pies Nottingham

Dan Lione, a former plasterer and hairdresser, decided to start producing high-quality comfort food during the pandemic and called it Project Pies. He used locally butchered and free-range meat to create pork pies and scotch eggs to sell locally. After the pandemic he started selling in his friend Mike Jones’ cheesecake shop and since then it’s gone from strength to strength.

After opening a shop on Carlton Hill in Nottingham, Project Pies has continued to thrive. Dan produces a great range of freshly prepared pies, sausage rolls and pork pies on a daily basis and consistently sells out! His constantly changing range includes traditional favourites such as steak and ale, chicken, minced beef and onion; but also some alternative flavours such as Jamaican jerk chicken, steak and nacho cheese and the ‘Goosefair Pie’ which includes a layer of minty mushy peas inside. Veggie pies, such as the mac n cheese, are also available.

Pork pies range from the traditional classic through to more innovative creations such as the delectable ‘Sticky Fingers’, featuring layers of Red Leicester cheese and caramelised red onion chutney complementing the hand-blended pork meat.

It’s not all savoury at Project Pies, though; they’ve introduced a range of delightful desserts too such as rhubarb pie, apple crumble and cherry pie.

So to get your pastry fix in Nottingham, drop round to Project Pies and join the queue outside!
