The Apple Tree Teahouse

The Apple Tree is a sweet little gift shop that first opened in 2012. It’s a treasure trove that offers all manner of pretty things including greeting cards and jewellery. But what makes this place really special is the cosy teahouse at the back of the shop – quintessentially English, there are cute china cups, proper cake forks and a decor that beckons you to stay awhile.

Choose from coffee, loose leaf tea (Apple Tree has its own exclusive blends including Cleopatra Liquorice and Mint Green Tea and Simply Sencha Loose Leaf Tea) from a proper teapot, plenty of cakes and tray bakes – all made on-site by the team. Afternoon tea and cream tea are available and because it’s licensed, you can have a glass of fizz should you wish. There’s also a breakfast and brunch menu.

You’ll find indoor and outdoor seating in the courtyard and it’s undercover, too, should the weather not be in your favour. Throughout the year, there are special events including bistro evenings and book clubs.
