The Royal Oak at Hurdlow
The Royal Oak sits in the hamlet of Hurdlow, eight miles south-east of Buxton in Derbyshire. This charming pub has become the perfect refuelling spot for Peak District explorers and is well known in the area for its generous portions, local ale selection and relaxing cosy feel.
Food is served all day, every day, from breakfast till dinner and you are spoilt for choice with a large menu serving up all the pub classics plus a few more exotic options. It even has a menu dedicated to pies – and very good they are too. To reduce its carbon footprint and showcase what the area has to offer, all produce used at the Royal Oak – where possible – is sourced from suppliers within a 20-mile radius.
This is not only a fantastic pub but also operates its own campsite to the rear with competitive prices and great facilities.
