The Deli at 58

The Deli at 58 is a pretty, independent deli run by Sam Douglas and Chris Palmer who offer Loughborough folk (and indeed visitors) excellent produce – much of which is locally-sourced. It opened in 2019 and has become a real hub for the community, providing much needed supplies during the Covid-related lockdowns and delivering tempting treats such as afternoon tea boxes.

You can also pop in for breakfast or brunch and you’ll be spoilt for choice. Choose from pancakes with yogurt, fresh berries and granola, French toast, eggs benedict and more. For lunch, you can’t go wrong with the sourdough toasties (we love the sound of the ‘Naked Italian’ with pesto, tomato and mozzarella). There’s a cute little courtyard which is the perfect spot if you fancy taking some time out for yourself or catching up with friends.

And of course, if you don’t have time to stop, you can still pick up something delicious to take away although the cake counter might make you want to linger a while – pistachio tart, Biscoff blondie millionaires, salted caramel and raspberry Bourbon biscuit all make regular appearances and we’d be hard pushed to pick our favourite.
