The Strugglers Inn, Lincoln
The Strugglers Inn is a proper traditional pub – definitely not a gastropub. So if you’re looking for food, this isn’t the place. It is the place however, if you want exceptional beer, lively music and good company.
It’s quite the historical spot too with some gory history. Situated next to Lincoln Castle, the pub dates back to 1841 and this is where people would gather when the hangings were taking place at the castle tower.
Today, the entertainment is less violent and you’ll often find great bands playing into the evening. New beers are always popping up so you’ll be able to sip something different each time you visit. In fact, beer is such a big deal here that it’s just been awarded Pub of the Year from the Lincoln branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.
