The Toaster, nestled in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford on South Street, stands out as a welcoming breakfast and brunch café that effortlessly blends quality, with warmth and a relaxed community feel.
Previous owners Charlotte and Colin created something very special. Their motivation to open came from the fact that breakfast options in the town were mainly greasy spoons – and there was a gap in the market for a slightly different profile of café.
Charlotte and Colin decided that 2026 was the time to move on, and now new owners Shelby and Gary have given the place a bit of a glow-up and are ready to take The Toaster on to the next stage of its journey.
