The Wynd in Letchworth Garden City is home to a few interesting independents including vegan eatery Vutie Beets. It’s owned by Harry Williams and Paul Cranwell who also own and run Level Ground Co which produces the coffee served in Vutie Beets.
Harry and Paul want to bring vegan food and drink to the community and help people experience how good the lifestyle can be. In their words “great food and coffee that just happens to be vegan.”
The menu is split between a very simple weekday selection and a more involved weekend version. But both are creative and well curated. Breakfast quesadillas, dahls and pancakes are on offer as well as nourishing smoothies and milkshakes. There’s also a cabinet full of cakes!
Vutie Beets deserves to thrive, not least because its inventive vegan food, but also the commitment to sustainability and community spirit.
