Nourish at No. 44
You’ll find Nourish at No. 44 on King Street in the picturesque market town of Belper, Derbyshire. It opened in 2012 and is owned and run by married couple Ali and head chef Perry Nadin. They pride themselves on running a privately owned, independent business. The menu is filled with top quality locally sourced ingredients, which they showcase on a blackboard behind the counter.
Nourish is open for breakfast through to dinner. By day it’s a busy café serving lunch, coffees and handmade cakes; at night it transforms into an intimate, stylish, candle-lit bistro offering an individual twist on French and British classics.
In 2016, following their much-deserved success, Nourish at No. 44 underwent an extensive £100k refurbishment, opening upstairs and doubling the amount of space for diners.
They also added a cocktail bar, which complements the live musicians who play here at weekends. In the summer you can dine al-fresco in the ‘Secret Garden’, which is set to hold mini-festivals in the warmer months.
