Old Vodka

Old Vodka is an example of a local Hertfordshire product brings together craft and heritage into something amazing. Old Vodka is a drink that is based on a 200-year-old Georgian family recipe giving it credibility and authenticity.

The story behind it is superb. Owner Merab Salamashvili has continued a tradition that dates back to his great-great-great grandfather Mate Salamashvili who was a vodka maker and healer. Merab’s still using the secret family recipe that’s been handed down through the generations.

These days Merab is distilling 14 delicious flavours at Church Farm, Ardley near Stevenage. The range includes the pure premium; caramel; coffee; as well as fruit flavours such as passionfruit; strawberry; elderflower; and sloe. It’s distilled in small batches and is triple filtered over charcoal to produce vodka at its best. The Pure is the proud recipient of a Great Taste Award too.

Pick it up at Church Farm or other stockists like Bury Lane. You’ll see it in some local pubs too!
