The Griffin Inn
The Griffin is an idyllic country pub in a beautiful setting in the village of Swithland, not far from Bradgate Park in Charnwood. In the colder months it is a wonderfully cosy place in which to warm up by the fire and enjoy good pub food and well-kept cask ales, real ciders, wines and coffees. In the summer, the large landscaped garden is a fine place to be – undoubtedly one of the region’s best. Attached to the pub are the Old Stables, an attractive and spacious wood-beamed function room that’s quickly become one of Leicestershire’s premier wedding and party venues.
In addition to all of that, in the Griffin’s courtyard is Odd John’s Kitchen – a kitchen-deli offering locally produced artisan food plus a variety of workshops.
Designed as a working kitchen, Odd John’s offers freshly cooked food made from locally sourced ingredients (the ingredients are also available to buy). Odd John’s Kitchen also runs a variety of workshops such as baking, gin-infusing and craft making.
Part of Odd John’s mission is to support small, artisan businesses and help to put them on the map so it is always on the lookout for local food producers and micro craft businesses to showcase their products. To get in touch, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01509 890 535.
