Sushi and Salad, Ely

Ely was the destination for Juliana Rodrigues and William Hunt’s first Sushi and Salad restaurant back in 2020 (it’s since been joined by another in Stamford). Formerly a book shop, this Japanese restaurant has a unique charm and is unlikely like anywhere else you’ve been before – bowls, cups and teapots were specially ordered from Japan and the decor is charming, kitsch and intimate.

Every dish that leaves the kitchen is artfully-arranged and the menu leaves no one out – whether vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover, there’s always something delicious to try. Locally-sourced produce is delivered daily so everything is as fresh as it looks.

Sushi, if of course, plentiful and there’s also hot dishes made with grilled meat and fish. And to finish off your meal on a sweet note, why not try a slice of matcha tea and orange cheesecake or mango and passionfruit jewelled mousse?
