Fruit Pig are an East Anglian-based butchery producing rare fresh-blood black puddings, white puddings, haggis and slow-cured specialist bacons from traditional breeds. They courier direct to restaurants, pubs, butcheries and delis, as well as wholesaling through Smithfield with Longcroft & Old, and Borough Market with Cannon & Cannon. Fruit Pig’s established customers include Tom Aikens, Tom Kerridge, The Duck and Waffle and The Hawksmoor.
Remarkably, more than 95% of the black pudding produced on these isles is made from imported dried blood powder. None of the major-named producers use fresh blood anymore. Fruit Pig are unique in that they slaughter, harvest and produce their own fresh-blood black pudding. With a passionate national following, their black pudding is available to buy in more than 70 outlets, including the prestigious Fortnum & Mason.
