The George at Ashley
The George at Ashley is a Grade II-listed inn based five miles from Market Harborough on the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire border and offers a relaxing atmosphere whether you’re dining or drinking. There are also six rooms if you’re planning to make an evening of it.
Ingredients are mainly sourced from within a 30-mile radius and the evening menu features dishes such as Saddle of Venison, Asian Stir-Fried Belly Pork and Butternut Squash Risotto and, to finish, Mars Bar Crème Brulee and Banoffee Pie. If you fancy a more casual experience, why not opt for lunch? There’s pizza, burgers, soups and stews with options for those with special dietary requirements.
Local ales are always available and there’s an extensive selection of gin plus wine supplied by Duncan Murray Wines in Market Harborough. The George is also a cosy spot to meet up for coffee and its coffee is supplied by Jute Coffee in Kettering.
